Cambridge English Fun Series

Make Sense is very happy to have begun using the Cambridge Fun series. Yuki is the lucky first student.
There are three levels to this program - Starters, Movers and Flyers. At the conclusion of each level, there is a test. More on those later.
We have used a whole range of textbooks for our younger students over the last few years, and these books look fantastic.
The key to this program is the tests at the end of each level. The curriculum is built to prepare the students to take the tests but does so in a manner that is not like preparing them to take a test. It's fun, and the students really enjoy it.
The big difference to this program is the speaking test. Speaking has always been a shortcoming for Japanese learners of English (don't blame them, blame the system), and this course really concentrates on the speaking. So much so, that the speaking test can only be taken by a Cambridge qualified tester. To become one you need teaching papers and a wealth of experience in English teaching as a second language.
That's all for now. I'll give updates as I go. If you have any questions about it for your young learners (students or children), I'll do my best to answer them for you.
